At Mighty Social we are proud to be Amazon experts across product and seller pages, ensuring a high quality service and offering for our clients.

In the 25 years since Amazon was launched, it holds the title as the world’s largest online retailer. Amazon has become a household name, with more people than ever using it for its convenience, fast deliveries and it being a literal one stop shop for all of life’s essentials and luxuries.

Research conducted in 2019 revealed that almost 90% of UK shoppers use Amazon and 40% have access to its Prime subscription service. And according to bigcommerce.co.uk, each month more than 197 million people around the world get on their devices and visit Amazon.com.

That’s more than the entire population of Russia

With the amount of shoppers flocking to the site each second, it is understandable that some sellers struggle to get traffic to, and get sales from their listings.

We’re here to help you and your business better understand the complexities of Amazon.  There are many different boxes to tick in terms of search, image optimisation and external advertising that all result in A+ content and maximising growth. Many businesses don’t know where to start when it comes to setting up their Amazon marketplace or improving their offering.

Here are some things to consider if increasing sales and growing your Amazon presence is high on your agenda:

1.Understand what you're trying to achieve and the marketplace you operate in.

Take a step back and conduct a complete audit of all your content and competitor content.  How does it measure up? What easy wins can you make to bring it inline with you competitors? Like with all forms of marketing, building up an image of your target consumer can help you to gauge whether your listing is correct. Remember, not all consumers are the same - your listings should be bespoke to your shoppers.

2.Analyse your keywords

Just like with SEO, keywords in titles and listings are essential to getting your products seen in order to then convert into sales. Take some time to ensure all possible keywords are present. Put yourself in the shopper’s shoes, what are the questions they’re asking that your product is the solution to? Here’s your chance to make your product stand out and really speak to your customers.

3.Optimise your creative

Bricks and mortar retailers spend thousands every year on point of sale marketing, ensuring that products are displayed correctly for optimal eyeline purchases. The same theory should be adopted for Amazon selling. Amazon boasts 150.6 million mobile app users; therefore ensuring all product creative is mobile optimised should be front of mind for any seller. Also, don’t forget to include videos, alternate angles, or any other creative that sets your product(s) apart.

4.Create an advertising strategy

It’s more important than ever to advertise your Amazon listings on external social networks. Amazon is the world’s biggest product search engine, so cutting through the noise and targeting ads externally to interested consumers is a sure-fire way of increasing sales. Again, taking a step back with some analysis can help cement this idea. Are your competitors conducting more advertising both on Amazon Sponsored listings as well as externally?
